The Top 3 apps I can’t travel without

Let’s face it. People and their phones are now one; It’s always nearby, always roaming and rarely switched off. Thanks to the little elves behind all our favourite smartphones though, they make it that little bit easier to get around when we jump on that plane and take us to wherever we choose to be.

(Disclosure; I am in no way affiliated with these brands, I just use them all the time and want to tell you all about them!)

Here’s the run down of the apps that I carry everywhere with me…

First and foremost – most used app of my life! I literally can’t even tell you how many shades of lost I’d be if I didn’t have Google maps on my phone. I also find it a lot more useful than your standard IPhone maps.

Definite must!

It’s also really great if you’re around an area unknown to you, with the explore option, you can be at a store, cafe or new place of interest or within minutes.

If like me, you like to steer a little off the beaten track; this is so helpful to find those little hidden gems.

Find it on your app or play store for free, or Click here ! Happy exploring!

The only app I use when booking accommodation wherever I go. I’ve not quite found my feet with Air BnB yet and I know this is a truly reliable source for putting a good roof over your head.

Sorting through hundreds of sites for you, In here will let you know you’re cheapest deal; what you’ll get and everything you can find round about you too!

Another thing I really love about Booking is that the more you book, the more you benefit! You’ll notice I have Genius beside my name and other than stating the obvious – it gets me further discounts on different locations!

Other discounts may also come available opwhen you book from your mobile instead of a computer and various other things – and after you’ve booked make sure you share your very own refer a friend code to make back some of that hard earned dollar back while letting your pal save money too!

If you’d like to start off with a discount on your first booking – CLICK ME and start sharing the love today ❤️

My number one for booking flights – compares hundreds of airlines and finds you the cheapest, and most direct flights.

The links will send you to the airlines main page and the whole process is super simple.

Check it out, you could save yourself money AND be on the beach faster than you thought!

If it’s a single flight you’re looking for or a package deal, it’s all organised for you. If you’re not sure where you want to go, you can utilise the ‘explore everywhere’ option and find best deal flights to destinations all around the world on one page. Super handy for you freebirds out there!

Nothing like a bonus!

Since my travels began, there’s been so many useful apps for camping, buy & sell, accommodation and transport though every country changes! Make sure when you are going to call somewhere new home for a few months, you scope out these goodies and make everything a little easier for yourself!

As for now I’m based in Canada so I use Allstays Walmart and IOverlander for camp spots, Kijiji and Pinterest for my transition into #vanlife and usually Tripadvisor and Culture Trip for all the must see spots and even some hidden gems along the way.

What have I missed?!

I wanna know your favourite apps to take with you on your travels! Share in the comments below!

Until next time!
